Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!
Welcome to the 1st edition of Insiders' Guide to the Greater Tampa Bay Area: Including Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater, published by Globe Pequot Press.
It's a mouthful!
At 326 pages, it's jam-packed with places to go, things to do, and more information about Hillsborough and Pinellas County than most people can digest at one sitting.
That doesn't mean you have to.
Like the "How to Use This Book" section (p. 1) says, "Novel or cookbook, it's up to you." Read the book from cover to cover and learn about our history, our economy, and our transportation systems. Pick a chapter and learn about the Annual Events and Festivals that fill our calendar. Or turn to the index to find quick information on a particular restaurant or attraction.
Follow us in this blog as we call your attention to different listings in the book or keep you updated as to what's happening in these two counties that make up the greater part of one of Florida's most populated areas.

Now I don't have to wonder about good restaurants. I can just go to this great book and find one. And to think I am a friend of the author. :>
